AUSTIN — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Tuesday that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $907.6 million in local sales tax allocations for June, 31.5 percent more than in June 2020.

These allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.

While sales tax revenues are up significantly statewide over June 2020, net payments are down slightly in Floyd County.

The City of Floydada will receive a net payment of $28,257.67, down 2.26 percent from this time last year. Floydada has received $174,769.83 to date in 2021.

The City of Lockney will see $10,426.67 in tax revenue. Thant figure is down 14.67 percent from June 2020. Lockney has received $72,978.90 year to date.
