Dear Church Family,

I pray this letter finds you well.  In recent days we have undergone radical shifts in how we live.  Terms like “the new normal” and “social distancing” have entered our vocabulary because of a microscopic virus named COVID-19.  The world is now grappling with an unknown enemy, an unpredictable future, and a sense of panic we haven’t seen in quite a long time.  Let’s not fall victim to the fear that has gripped our world.  For we serve an infinite God who holds all things in His hand.

However, the church may not be of this world, but it is not free of this world either.  Last night our church leadership came together to discuss ministry in light of the reality of our times.

The following paragraphs will highlight changes to our current church operations. We will now meet for worship in the virtual world.

Starting this Sunday, you will be able to join us live through Facebook, YouTube, or our church’s website for Sunday School at 9:15am, Worship at 10:30am, and a midweek devotional on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.  Please see links below if you are not already familiar with these sites.

Our church facility will be temporarily closed to group gatherings. However, the church office will remain open to answer questions, take prayer request, and to minister to the needs of our community in ways that are both safe for our visitors and staff.

You are encouraged to call or email when possible. While we may not be able to meet in person we encourage you to continue to give either by mail 401 S Main Street, Floydada, TX 79235 or online through our church’s website.

Finally, help us stay connected to the prayer needs of our community by calling the church office, submitting request through our church’s website, or by emailing one of the church’s staff members.  For a full list of emails please see our website.

If you are receiving this letter by email, remember not all of our church members are connected in this way.  We ask that you help spread the word of these recent changes and to check our website and Facebook page frequently for other changes as conditions dictate. Please stay safe and remember “you were made for such a time as this”,

Mark, Nathan, Ashley, Ludustia, and the entire Deacon Body
