NEW DEAL, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds were in district action on Tuesday as they battled the New Deal Lady Lions.
The Lady Winds struggled offensively in the first half, being outscored 31-16.
In the third quarter, Floydada began to fight back, cutting the lead down 38-32.
Floydada would fall short in their comeback and were defeated 54-50.
Floydada’s Katelynn Ramirez led the team in scoring with 16 points.
Soriah Wickware also contributed to the scoring for the Lady Winds with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
The Lady Winds move to 2-3 in district play and will be matched up against Abernathy on Friday.
