FLOYDADA, TX – A Christmas Eve crash took the life of a Plainview man Tuesday after he failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Texas 207.
35-year-old Ethan Tanner Soto was pronounced dead at W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital in Lockney following the one-vehicle crash at 7:41 pm.
Soto, the driver of a white 2018 Dodge Ram, was trapped in the vehicle after it overturned and collided with the Floydada Welcome Sign.
Volunteers from the Floydada Fire Department worked to extricate Soto while a passenger in the pickup sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
