LOCKNEY, TX – The excitement for the State Finalist Lockney Longhorn Band is still coming in. On November 21, 2024, Kara Sanchez received a division 1 at the Regional contest. This amazing accomplishment also qualified Kara for State Solo and Ensemble/Twirling in Austin this May.
Other students receiving awards this last week in the Lockney Band Department are some Middle School students making the Region Honor Band. Congratulations to X’Zavien Bernal, Carter Duniven, Tre Vasquez, and Manny Rubio. The Honor Band is 1A through 4A and is very select. The Lockney Longhorn Band is still going strong!
