Early Voting Begins Monday Featuring Floyd County Sheriff

FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Early voting begins on Monday and closes on Friday, November 1, 2024.

More than 200 federal and state offices and a host of elected offices in all 254 counties of Texas are up for election in 2024. The top federal offices up in the 2024 election year are president and the U.S. Senate seat held by two-term U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Houston. All 38 Texas congressional seats, including several open seats resulting from year-end retirements, are up for election.

Fifteen of the 31 members of the Texas Senate and all 150 seats in the Texas House of Representatives are up for election.

One seat on the Texas Railroad Commission, currently held by Comm. Christi Craddick, R—Austin, is up for election. Seven seats are up for election on the State Board of Education, and three seats each are up for election on the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

Locally, the race for Floyd County Sheriff will be decided between incumbent and current Sheriff Paul Raisez and challenger Ruben DeLeon.

Election day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
