LOCKNEY, TX—Monty Teeter was recently named President of the Lockney General Hospital District, with Brent Barker and D’Lyn Morris chosen as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively.
In their June meeting, the Board voted to lease space at 104 N. Main St. to City Ambulance. According to Vince DiFranco, CEO of W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital, City Ambulance has been in the area for over a year and provides many of the out-of-town transfers from hospitals in Lockney and Plainview to Lubbock and Amarillo.
For May, DiFranco reported lower volumes for hospital and clinic services than in previous months. Clinic visits for the providers were 779 in May, with five acute admissions for 16 patient days and nine observation patients. ER visits were 175 for the month, and five procedures were performed. The Lab performed 3,353 tests, and the Radiology volume was 241 monthly, including 52 CT scans. On the other hand, Physical Therapy had 361 overall visits in May, which was the highest for the fiscal year.
The total gross revenue (charges) for May was $1,455,420 compared to a budget of $1,829,158 and $1,568,717 in May 2023. Other operating revenue was $37,372. Adjustments were $789,280. Overall expenses were below budget at $962,585, and non-operating income of $91,399 brought the net loss to $167,673 for the month.
