LOCKNEY, TX – Three Floydada men have been arrested and charged following an early morning shooting two weeks ago
An investigation by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office led authorities to arrest 21-year-old Martin Garcia Jr., 19-year-old Charles Contreras Jr., and his 17-year-old brother Nathaniel Contreras for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and organized criminal activity. Garcia has been released on bond, while the brothers remain in the Hale County jail.
The 17-year-old victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is in recovery.
An altercation occurred in the 300 block of South Main between 2:15 am and 2:20 am on Saturday, February 10, 2024, and escalated, leading to the shooting.
