Darwin Robinson (Idalou)

Darwin Robinson, age 83, of Idalou, passed away early on January 18, 2024. He is now in the presence of his blessed Savior, whom he faithfully served for many years. Funeral services were held Monday, January 22, 2024, at Wolfforth Cemetery.

Darwin was born on April 20, 1940, in Ropesville, Texas, to R.B Robinson and Inez (Capshaw) Robinson. He graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock. He married the love of his life, Patsy Ann Mullins, on October 10, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas. Darwin and Patsy moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he attended Tennessee Temple University. After graduation, Darwin was in the gospel ministry for over 60 years, serving as a pastor in many places in many states, and for 12 of those years, he was a dedicated missionary to Old Mexico, where the Lord greatly used him in starting 12 churches scattered over the states of Chiapas, Veracruz, and Oaxaca. He was also a former resident of Floyd County.

Darwin is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Robinson of Idalou, his sons; Dean Robinson and wife Cheryl of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Tim Robinson and wife Amy of St. Louis, Missouri, his grandchildren, Alisha, Sarah, Hannah, Blake, Brennan, Bryce and Brianna and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
