Dominga Juarez (Floydada)
Dominga Juarez, age 81, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, and funeral services were held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Floydada.
Dominga was born May 17, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Amado and Adela (Lopez) Reyes.
She had countless hours in the fabric department at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed sewing and loved flowers and plants. If she saw a plant she liked and didn’t have it at home, she would pinch a piece off and take it home to plant it. Dominga enjoyed watching novellas. She also had a collection of old kerosene lamps and handmade quilts. Dominga had a fashion for clothes, and she would buy clothes just because she liked them and may never wear them. She loved cake and cookies but mostly the icing. Beside her was always her dog, Meme. There was never a day that she wanted an afternoon drive around Floydada. She enjoyed the spring so she could sit on the front porch to watch the cars drive by on the highway or the birds on the bird feeder. But most of all, she was a best friend, companion, and wife of 67 years to her beloved husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amado and Adela Reyes, and a granddaughter, Crystal Rodriguez, and two siblings, Santiago Reyes and Pedro Reyes.
Dominga is survived by her husband, Tiofilo Juarez, one daughter Christina Rodriguez (Moses), three sons, Paul Juarez (Frances), John Ramon Juarez, Tifilo Juarez, Jr. (Tabitha), grandchildren; Jenal Murillo (Caleb), Yoshabell Rodriguez (Ralph), Jodie Rodriguez, Alianna (Roland), Zayda, Tarah, Tambree, Timmothy (Tara) Basquez, Luka, Noah, John Juarez, Jr., Julia Juarez, Nicholas N.
