FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds played host to the Olton Fillies on Friday in a district matchup.
The Lady Winds were able to get ahead quickly on the Fillies to go up 19-6.
Floydada’s defense held Olton to just 4 points in the second quarter and would go into halftime with a 34-10 lead.
The Fillies had no answer for the Lady Winds’ pressure, as Floydada would secure the game in the second half, outscoring Olton 24-16 and the 58-26 victory.
Seniors Zay Santos and Analise Perez led the Lady Winds in scoring, both with 12 points.
Junior Soriah Wickware also contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds to the win on Friday.
Floydada moves to 18-3 overall and remains in first place in district play at 7-0.
