LITTLEFIELD, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled to battle the unbeaten Littlefield Wildcats on Tuesday in a non-district game.
Both teams went back and forth and were tied at 15 at the end of the first quarter.
The Wildcats were able to go on a run in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 36-26 lead.
The Whirlwinds fought back in the third quarter and would tie the game at 50 going into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Littlefield was able to pull away and secure the victory over Floydada 68-58.
Floydada was led in scoring by juniors Ty Henderson and Braun Hobbs, both with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
Floydada moves to 7-3 overall in the season and will look ahead to the Childress Tournament this weekend with their first game against Vernon on Thursday.
