FLOYDADA, TX – Floydada’s Carisa Fernandez will earn the title of collegiate athlete as she signed her letter of intent to play at Sul Ross University as a member of the softball team.

Carisa is a senior at Floydada High School, is a part of the Lady Winds softball team, and will play for the green and white in the coming softball season.

“My Floydada girls, thank you all for the memories, the laughs, the cries, and even the fights. Y’all have helped me grow throughout my high school career, and I will always be thankful for the time that I have worn a Floydada softball jersey. Those of you who have coached me, thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the game with me.” (via Caris Fernandez/Facebook)

Congratulations to Carisa, and good luck to the Lady Winds softball team as they will begin to prepare for their upcoming season soon.
