SAN ANTONIO, TX – Though the final result was not what they had hoped for, the Lockney Longhorn Band achieved history this week by performing at the UIL 2A State Marching Band competition.
Director Robert Rumbelow guided his squad to compete against 17 other schools across the state, which Bogata Rivercrest eventually won.
Panhandle and Sundown advanced to the Finals held in the Alamodome, where the Panther band finished third. Ralls and Hale Center also marched in the competition but did not advance to the final round on Halloween.
