September Visits to Cogdell Clinic and WJ Mangold Decline

LOCKNEY, TX – Trustees of the Lockney General Hospital Board last week to hear a monthly update on the performance of WJ Mangold Memorial Hospital (WJMMH) and Cogdell Clinic.

According to Vince DiFranco, CEO of WJMMH, volumes at the hospital and clinic declined in September compared to the previous month.

The clinic recorded 889 visits for the month, and there were eight acute admissions for 27 patient days with 14 patients.

There were 215 visits to the Emergency Room (ER) during September, and eight procedures were performed; the lab performed 3,384 tests, and radiology performed 61 CT scans as part of 322 tests.

Total gross revenue (charges) for the month of September was $1,738,651 compared to a budget of $1,864,083 and $1,477,312 in September 2022, with other operating revenue adding $38,261. DiFranco added that with adjustments at $1,091,209, overall expenses at $961,800, and non-operating revenue of $115,097, the net loss for the month was $161,000 bringing the year-to-date loss to $390,453.
