POST, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled to Post to battle the Antelopes in district action Friday.
Post would start the scoring in the first quarter to lead 6-0.
Floydada would respond with two scores of their own and take the lead 14-6.
Both teams would score in the second quarter, and the Whirlwinds went into halftime with the lead, 21-12.
Floydada would hold off a comeback and secure their first district win over the Antelopes, 24-19.
The Whirlwinds move to (5-4,1-3) and will host the Olton Mustangs in their final game of the regular season on Friday.
