Hospital Employees to Receive Raises on Hiring Anniversary

LOCKNEY, TX – Employees at WJ Mangold Memorial Hospital can expect to see a 2.5 percent increase in wages following the approval of the FY24 Management Plan and Budget by board trustees recently.

According to Vince DiFranco, the increase will occur on the anniversary of the worker’s date of hire.

The monthly meeting in September also allowed DiFranco to share that “volumes in August were up in the hospital and clinic compared to recent months.”

Lockney Clinic volume for the providers was 1,015 visits in August, there were 11 acute admissions for 36 patient days and 26 observation patients, the lab performed 3,944 tests and the Radiology volume was 357 for the month including 75 CT scans.

Total gross revenue (charges) for the month of August was $1,976,525 compared to a budget of $1,864,083 and $1,329,084 last year, and other operating revenue was $44,759. With adjustments at $934,997, overall expenses at $1,098,315, and non-operating revenue of $85,640, the net gain for the month was $73,611 while the year-to-date loss is $229,454.

The next meeting of the Lockney General Hospital Board will be on October 25, 2023.
