Heading into district play, how have you guys prepared?
Focus on the little things that we didn’t do right these past few games and get better using the bye week.
When watching game film, what are some things that you focus on to improve from week to week?
I am learning how to use my hands more instead of just rushing in. I’m trying to rip them under and use my hands to move them better.
What is something that you’ve learned in your years of playing football?
Try not to beat yourself up about it. If you mess up, you have to keep your head up and move on to the next play. You have to forget about it and leave it all on the field until the game is over.
What is it like to have a close relationship with your teammates?
We are all family here; if someone messes up, someone is always there to pick them up and say, “It’s alright, we have to keep moving on”.
Is there a coach that you see as a mentor?
I look up to Coach Thiebaud because he is like our dad, really; he’s like a father figure to us all. He isn’t scared to talk about things outside of football. Instead of just football, he is there for other things as well.
What are some other activities that you do outside of football?
I run track, and I am looking forward to getting the duck hunting season started.
