WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – A former Lockney resident will move closer to home.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the head of the Agricultural Economics Department at Purdue University, and I will miss my friends and colleagues in West Lafayette. Now it’s time for a new challenge,” explains Dr. Jayson Lusk.
Lusk is the son of former Lockney Superintendent Raymond Lusk and earned his bachelor’s degree in Food Technology from Texas Tech (1997). He also worked for the Floyd County Extension Service as a freshman in college.
In August, Lusk will return to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he was a professor from 2005 through 2013, to become the new Vice President and Dean of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University.
