Lady Winds host the New Deal Lady Lions in a district game on March 17th, 2023
FLOYDADA, TX – The 13th-ranked Floydada Lady Winds (13-4, 4-0) hosted the New Deal Lady Lions (3-2, 2-2) on Friday in a district matchup.
The Lady Winds were able to score six runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 6-0 lead.
In the bottom of the second, the Lady Winds would score twelve more to extend their lead to 18-0.
The Lady Winds defense would shut out the Lady Lions in the top of the third inning and secure the 18-0 victory.
Floydada’s pitcher Alli Hernandez had six strikeouts in the victory on Friday afternoon.
The win lifts the Lady Winds to 4-0 in district play and 13-4 for the season.
