Drivers drive me crazy!
The number of drivers today that don’t pay attention is unbelievable, especially the ones who think the laws don’t apply to them.
Recently, I watched a vehicle speed past a group of construction workers in a 45 mph zone at over 80 mph – then swerve across a couple of lanes of traffic as if the road belonged to him.
After yelling and screaming behind the wheel, I asked the Lord to bless the driver and to provide traveling mercy for him and those around him, and then I looked in the rearview mirror.
“Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you for you know in your heart that many times you have cursed others,” writes King Soloman in Ecclesiastes (7:20-25).
Think about it, how often do we speed past people in situations where they are vulnerable, ignoring warning signs and everyone else around us because we’re just so focused on ourselves?
It’s never a good idea to drive down the road just staring at the rearview mirror, but we need to glance up occasionally to remember that we’re usually guilty of some of the same crimes we yell at others about.
