LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Lady Horns (18-9, 5-4) hosted the New Deal Lady Lions (13-13, 4-5) on Friday for a district game.
The Lady Horns were able to jump out to an early lead against the Lady Lions with a 14-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Lockney’s defense held New Deal to only 6 points in the second quarter as they were able to extend their lead to 28-11.
It was continued pressure from the Lady Horns in the second half that would give them the victory over the New Deal Lady Lions, 51-35.
Senior Adriana Villarreal led the Lady Horns on Friday night with a double-double as she had 25 points and 11 rebounds.
