David Mendoza (Spur)
David Mendoza, of Spur, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada, with Moses Blanco officiating. Interment will follow at Floydada Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
David is preceded in death by his parents; Patricio and Maria Mendoza, a nephew; Michael Gonzales, a brother; Patricio Mendoza Jr., a grandson; Roman Zarate; and a niece; Cookie Moreno.
Those left to cherish David’s memory are his wife; Linda Duncan Mendoza of Floydada, Texas; three daughters; Christina Mendoza of Andrews, Texas, Maricella Mendoza of Andrews, Texas, Veronica and husband Phil Gooding of Andrews, Texas, three sons; Todd Beaty and wife Charlena, David Beaty, Dale Beaty and wife Tonya of Spur, Texas, 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters Juan Mendoza and wife Manuela of Floydada, Texas, Gabriel Mendoza of Plainview, Texas, Linda and Robert Gonzales of Slaton, Texas, Robert Mendoza of Utah, Teresa and Pete Landeros of Plainview, Beatriz and Antonio De La Fuente, of Floydada, Texas, Luis and Gloria Mendoza of Lubbock, Texas, Manuel and Lupe Mendoza of Floydada, Texas, Rudolfo Mendoza of Houston, Dora and Frank Luna of Floydada, and Esperanza Luna of Plainview, Texas.
