KRESS, TX – The Lockney Lady Horns (2-2) traveled to Kress on Tuesday night to play in a non-district game.
The Lady Horns struggled offensively in the first half, only able to generate 9 points, and found themselves trailing 17-9 at the half.
However, the Lady Horns found momentum in the second half and were able to put some points on the board, but they were still trailing 36-20 at the end of the third quarter.
Lockney’s senior Mariah Ascensio would get 12 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter while trying to mount a comeback.
Even after a 30-point fourth quarter, the Lady Horns fell short at the end of a close game with a final of 53-50.
Lockney also had help from seniors Adrianna Villarreal (12 points) and Haven Walker (10 points).
