Lockney Longhorns Finish Season Against Bovina

BOVINA, TX – The Longhorns (2-8, 1-4) traveled to Bovina to play the Mustangs (4-6, 3-2) in a crucial district game that determined the rest of the season for Lockney. 

Halfway through the first quarter, Lockney’s quarterback, Dyllan Thiebaud, threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Rosales to take the lead, 7-6.

After a Bovina touchdown, Longhorns’ Xavier Jimenez ran from 26-yards out to tie the game at 14 with 9:09 left in the third quarter.

After falling behind 30-14 in the fourth, the Longhorns were able to put together a drive that ended with a 15-yard touchdown run from Dyllan Thiebaud, making the score 20-30. 

Lockney drove down the field with under three minutes left and ended the drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Dyllan Thiebaud to Jose Martinez, for a final score of 38-26 in favor of the Mustangs. 

This will conclude the football season for the Lockney Longhorns, as they now will transition into other activities.
