FLOYDADA, TX – Ghosts and goblins, superheroes, princesses, and a variety of other uniquely dressed kids strutted around the Floyd County Courthouse on Sunday afternoon as part of the annual Trunk or Treat event.

Community members offered candy to kids that paraded around in their Halloween costumes.

The event offers children in the community an opportunity to “trick or treat” without going door to door within the city limits, though some will do that tonight.

When choosing to participate in trick or treat on Halloween, children are advised to only visit homes of people they know, adults should accompany their children, and homeowners wanting to offer candy should only give out candy that is factory-wrapped and should leave the front porch light on to alert the revelers that the home is participating.
