UPDATE 10:00 p.m. 7/13 The City of Floydada will ask residents to conserve water for a second day as they continue to work on the city’s main water well.

The city told the Record on Wednesday repairs will hopefully be completed on Thursday as they had to wait on a part to make repairs for the pump in the main well.

There is a possibility a boil notice could be called after the well is brought back online, but it is not necessary at this time.

FLOYDADA – The City of Floydada is asking residents to conserve water while they work on the city’s main well.

City Secretary Patty Lowrance sent out an emergency message to residents around 9:45 Wednesday morning asking residents to be mindful of their water usage while repairs were being made to the well.

Lowrance tells the Record both of the city’s secondary wells are running as normal.

This story will be updated as information becomes available.
