RUIDOSO, N.M. – The Floydada Futures 12 and under team are heading to hopefully a cool climate to play in the Queen of the Mountain tournament starting Friday, June 3 in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Ruidoso has become a popular sight for youth baseball and softball to play in the summer in the settings of the mountains and pine trees. Teams from Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona are common locations for teams to come from.
The Futures is the team that advanced to Texas West State as 10 year olds in 2019, and to the Sectional tourney in 2021 both in the Little League softball playoff system.
