POST – If you prefer games with close finishes, then the Floydada Whirlwinds – Post Bold Gold Antelopes baseball series would have been right up your alley. Floydada won 10-9 at Watson Field on Tuesday, then Post was victorious at Norm Cash Field by the identical tally of 10-9 on Saturday.

Post utilized a seven run second inning that withstood a gallant come back by the Whirlwinds. Post held its biggest advantage of 7-1 after two innings before the Whirlwinds would battle back with four runs in the third frame and would eventually take the lead of 9-8 going into the bottom of the seventh. Post in their last at-bat did not get a hit, but turned a walk and hit batter into a pair of runs with a stolen base and eventual scores on a wild pitch and passed ball.

Floydada’s numbers ended up with four hits by Post, four errors committed and a four game winning streak was snapped.
