FLOYDADA – The Floydada Lady Winds are now in the playoff mode after taking two games from the Sundown Roughettes this past week including a 10-0 shutout on Saturday at Lady Winds Field. No. 4 rated Floydada (22-2-1, 8-0) and the Ralls Lady Jackrabbits (17-4, 8-0) have both punched their playoff tickets with still two weeks to go in the regular season.

Her season total is now 158-K’s and her ERA has dropped to 2.703. She retired three batters with strikeouts in four different innings.

Floydada batting lineup got going early by scoring three runs in the first inning off of a pair of RBI doubles by Analise Perez and Kaley Garza. The Lady Winds then smacked five singles in the second frame that scored four more runs when they batted through the lineup.

Obregon was Floydada’s top producer for the game going 3-3 at the plate with two RBI and scored two runs. Clari Delafuente was in her typical challenging mode on the base baths with two stolen bases and scored three times.

Floydada got their 12th win of the season by the 10-run mercy run when Jaycee Caudle hit a bloop RBI single just past the right side of the infield to bring in Delafuente for the game clinching run.

The Lady Winds will now take on the Sudan Nettes in their next weekly two game series. Game one will be at Lady Winds Field on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. KFLP 900 AM will have the broadcast.
