MOTLEY COUNTY – Two Floydada residents are dead and another is recovering at a Lubbock hospital following an accident early Saturday morning along U.S. 70 near the Floyd County line in Motley County.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating the accident that happened around 4:20 Saturday morning roughly two and a half miles from the Campbell Roadside Park.
Dylan Campbell and A.J. Lopez, both of Floydada, were killed in the crash. Nick Joiner of Floydada was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock. His condition is unknown at this time.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
