NEW DEAL – Due to a forecasted winter storm forecast for the South Plains this Friday the Mean Green Relays at Noland Stadium were moved up to Wednesday. Junior Jayson Cooper highlighted Floydada’s varsity boys results by winning the 100-dash (11.91), plus earned second place in the triple jump (40′ 5.5”).
Cooper joined teammates Saul Reyes, Izaiah Alvarado and Jacinto Santos to take third place in the 400 relay (46.44). Alvarado finished second in the 400 dash (55.03).
In the girls varsity division, Floydada was led by Natalie Contreras finishing second in the 100 hurdles (18.88) and third in the high jump (4’2”), plus Kirsten Pyle took third in the pole vault (7’6”).
