LITTLEFIELD — The Littlefield Lady Cats got hot in the final quarter to outscore Floydada (7-5) 24-8 and take a misleading 45-29 win over the Lady Winds on Tuesday night at Wildcat Gym on Waylon Jennings Blvd.
Floydada’s most productive part of the game was in the second quarter by outscoring Littlefield 14-3 to build up a 19-13 lead by the Lady Winds at halftime. Littlefield started chipping away at Floydada’s lead in the third quarter with an 8-4 scoring advantage. Then the Lady Cats dominated the final quarter for the victory.
Littlefield’s 5’9″ junior Madison McNeese led the Lady Cats with 26-points. McNeese was impressive at the free-throw line by hitting 12 of 14 attempts.
Floydada senior Erin Trevino was the Lady Winds’ leading scorer with 12.
