FLOYDADA, TX – The suspended baseball game between the Floydada Whirlwinds and the Lockney Longhorns resumed Wednesday evening and concluded with a narrow 4-3 win for the visiting Longhorns.
Play picked up in the top of the sixth inning with one out and the score tied at 3-3. Lockney managed to bring across the go-ahead run in that frame, and held Floydada scoreless through the bottom of the sixth and seventh to secure the victory.
The game remained competitive throughout, with both teams making key plays in the field and on the mound. Lockney outhit Floydada 6 to 2, while Floydada committed two errors compared to one for Lockney.
