Floyd County, TX — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office is inviting local residents to take part in its upcoming “A Matter of Balance” class, a nationally recognized program designed to help older adults reduce their fear of falling and improve their activity levels.
This free class is especially helpful for seniors who are concerned about falls, have fallen in the past, or simply want to improve their strength and balance. The program uses practical strategies to manage falls and increase confidence.
Classes will be held weekly and led by trained coaches through the Extension Office. Participants will learn exercises to build strength and flexibility, as well as tips for staying safe at home and in the community.
The last day to sign up is tomorrow, April 11, so those interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible by contacting the Floyd County Extension Office.
