ELDORADO, TX – The Lockney Girls Powerlifting Team has achieved outstanding success at the THSPWA Girls Regional Powerlifting Meet, securing second place in the region.
We would like to extend congratulations to the following athletes for their remarkable performances and for advancing to the State Powerlifting competition:
- Monique Lara
- Ciara Hernandez
- Ellianna Jimenez
Here are the final results from the competition:
- In the 97-pound weight class, Jasmine Perez placed 10th.
- In the 105-pound weight class, Bryanna Acedillo finished in 5th place.
- In the 114-pound weight class, Monique Lara earned a spot at the State competition with an impressive total of 675 pounds. Krista Azua placed 9th in the same weight class.
- In the 220-pound weight class, Ciara Hernandez claimed 1st place and qualified for the State competition. Alondra Trenado secured 3rd place in this weight class.
- In the 242-pound weight class, Ellianna Jimenez finished in 2nd place and also qualified for State.
The team’s strong performance highlights the hard work and dedication of these athletes, and we wish them all the best as they move on to compete at the State level.
