Lighthouse Electric Cooperative would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the parents and teachers who encouraged students to participate in this year’s Youth Tour contest. Their support and guidance play a crucial role in inspiring young minds to engage in this outstanding opportunity.

Noah Gonzales – Winner ($1,500 Scholarship)

Sydni Chesshir – 1st Alternate ($1,000 Scholarship)

Kirsten Pyle – 2nd Alternate ($1,000 Scholarship)

These outstanding students demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication in their submissions. As winners, Noah Fierros and Noah Gonzales will represent Lighthouse Electric Cooperative on the Government-in-Action Youth Tour, where they will have the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., and experience our nation’s capital firsthand. Additionally, Sydni Chesshir and Kirsten Pyle have been selected as alternates, ready to step in if needed.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our panel of judges: Jill Reece of South Plains Electric Cooperative, and Missy Forbes and Andy Stewart of Swisher Electric Cooperative. Their time and expertise were invaluable in selecting this year’s winners.

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and enthusiasm. We are excited to see the impact these young leaders will make in the future!
