
Alberto Guerrero Jr, 38, of Lockney, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Theft of a Firearm.
FLOYDADA, TX – Following a nine-hour standoff, a Floyd County man is in custody facing a slew of felony charges.
Alberto Guerrero Jr, 38, of Lockney, was wanted on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Theft of a Firearm.
After holing up in a house in the 500 block of West Grover, he was finally taken into custody around 3:00 am on Saturday.
The Floyd County Sherriff’s office received assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Lubbock County SWAT, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Guerrero crawled under the house through a trap door and was attempting to escape teargas when authorities removed him from the structure.
