LUBBOCK, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds put up a valiant effort Tuesday night in their first-round playoff matchup against the Farwell Lady Blue. Farwell gained an early advantage, building a 45-6 lead by halftime, but the Lady Winds continued to battle through the second half before falling 71-29.
Despite the challenging contest, Floydada’s Katelynn Ramirez showcased her scoring ability, leading the Lady Winds with 15 points. The team displayed determination and grit, fighting until the final buzzer.
With this result, Floydada concludes their season with an overall record of 15-16 and a 5-7 mark in district play. The Lady Winds demonstrated perseverance throughout the season and gained valuable experience to build upon for the future.
Farwell advances to the next round, carrying momentum from their performance. Meanwhile, Floydada looks ahead with optimism, ready to grow and improve in the seasons to come.
