ABERNATHY, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds battled in a district game against the Abernathy Antelopes on Tuesday.
The first half was a tight battle, with both teams trading leads before the Whirlwinds entered halftime ahead 37-33.
Floydada would extend their lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Antelopes 25-20, 62-53.
The Whirlwinds would close the game out in the fourth quarter, securing the victory 77-68.
The Whirlwinds were led in scoring by Ty Henderson with 33 points and 11 rebounds.
Floydada moves to 20-10 overall and 8-2 in district play.
