LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney City Council will be holding elections for three at-large council seats on May 3, 2025, offering local residents the opportunity to influence the future of the community.
Those interested in running for one of the seats are invited to begin the official filing process, with candidate packets now available at Lockney City Hall.
The filing period for candidates opens on January 15, 2025, and will close on February 14, 2025. During this time, potential candidates can pick up the necessary paperwork to run for City Council. The packets, available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., contain all the forms and instructions required to participate in the election.

Residents who are considering running for a seat must ensure they complete and submit all required forms before the filing deadline. The last day to file as a write-in candidate will be February 18, 2025.
