FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds were in district action on Friday night as they played host to the Post Lady Lopes.
The Lady Winds defense held the Lady Lopes to just 2 points in the first quarter, to get ahead with a 14-2 lead.
Post outscored Floydada in the second quarter to cut the lead down 18-12 going into halftime.
The Lady Winds found their momentum in the second half, outscoring the Lady Lopes 37-16, to secure the district win on Friday 55-28.
Floydada was led in scoring by Soriah Wickware with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Also contributing to the win on Friday was Katelynn Ramirez (9 points) and Brittany Falcon (8 points).
