FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Chamber of Commerce held their annual banquet on Thursday night, reflecting on the important events of the past year and celebrating the Citizen and Business of the Year.
The event gathered local leaders, business owners, and community members to acknowledge the achievements that have helped make Floydada a thriving place to live and work.
The Chamber continues to partner with local businesses to ensure their success and create a stronger, more connected community. The Business of the Year award was presented to the Serrato Sisters, a family-run business that has become a staple in Floydada, not only providing livelihoods but also fostering meaningful connections within the community.
The Citizen of the Year award went to Ludustia Prisk, who has long been dedicated to putting the community’s interests first and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Prisk embodies the spirit of Floydada, showing kindness and love for others in everything she does.
Also at the Floydada Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet, Pat Smith, on behalf of Billie Dean’s in Matador, graciously accepted a $500 check from the organization. The contribution highlights the Chamber’s commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering economic growth in the region. Smith expressed appreciation for the support, emphasizing its positive impact on the community.
With these awards, the Chamber of Commerce reaffirmed its commitment to growing Floydada’s local economy and strengthening bonds within the community.
