Cogdell Clinic Logs More Than 900 Patient Visits

LOCKNEY, TX—The Lockney General Hospital District met last month and heard that providers logged more than 900 patient visits in October (928), including 57 new patients.

Vince DiFranco is CEO of W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital and reported 179 emergency room visits for the month, eight acute admissions for 22 patient days, and 15 observation patients.

The lab performed 3,534 and 298 radiological tests, including 66 CT scans.

DiFranco also presented the board with the latest financial report, which included total gross revenue (charges) for October at $1,797,566, compared to a budget of $1,959,992 and $1,685,626 in October 2023. Other operating revenue was $51,109. Adjustments were $1,075,914. Overall expenses were above budget at $1,154,851, and non-operating revenue of $103,154 brought the net loss to $278,935 for the month.
