Lockney Students Shine at Fall UIL Academic Meet

SUDAN, TX—On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, students from Lockney Elementary and Lockney Jr. High traveled to Sudan to compete in the annual UIL Academic Meet. The competition included schools from Bovina, Farwell, Sudan, Hale Center, Lockney, and Olton. The event featured a variety of academic disciplines, and students demonstrated their talents in everything from mathematics to language arts.

Lockney Elementary finished 4th place overall, while Lockney Jr. High placed 3rd, just behind the top contenders from Farwell and Sudan. Both schools reflect the Lockney students’ hard work, dedication, and academic discipline.
