TAHOKA, TX – On Friday the Floydada Whirlwinds made the road trip to Tahoka to battle the Bulldogs in a district game.
Floydada’s high-scoring 21 point first quarter gave them the lead 21-14.
It was continued offense from the Whirlwinds as they went into the locker room with a 43-31 lead.
The second half featured back and forth play from both teams, however, it was the Whirlwinds keeping their momentum and securing the victory over the Bulldogs 69-56.
Floydada moves to 10-7 overall and 1-0 in district play.
Braun Hobbs led the Whirlwinds in scoring with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Also contributing to scoring for the Whirlwinds was Ty Henderson (13 points), Sergio Valadez (17 points and 11 rebounds), and Logan Smith (7 points).
