Re-Elect

SHERIFF PAUL RAISSEZ

Citizens of Floyd County,

As I gear up for my re-election campaign for Sheriff of Floyd County, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as your Sheriff for the past seventeen years. This journey has been filled with challenges, but your unwavering support and prayers have made it possible. Your trust and support are invaluable to me, and I am committed to serving you, the heart of our communities.

My unwavering commitment as your Sheriff has always been to ensure the safety and well-being of our county. With 28 years of dedicated service to the Sheriff’s Office, I have served in various roles, such as County Jailer, 911 Dispatcher, and Deputy. My extensive experience as a Texas Peace Officer and 17 years as your Sheriff has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to lead this agency. My hands-on approach, working diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of our county, is a testament to my dedication. I am always available to address the needs and concerns of our community and staff, even beyond the regular office hours.

Some may perceive my dedication to my job as being married to it, given the long hours I spend at the office or aiding officers in the field. However, I see it as a profound passion for the work that drives me. I firmly believe in completing tasks promptly rather than postponing them. I understand that tomorrow will bring new challenges that require attention. As the highest law enforcement official in the county, the sheriff holds significant responsibilities. This role demands personal sacrifices, especially considering the challenges law enforcement faces, including the nationwide shortage of officers and new legislative mandates. I am confident in my ability to provide effective leadership to ensure we meet and surpass the required standards.

As a Sheriff with conservative values, I have consistently placed a strong emphasis on fulfilling the Sheriff’s Office’s essential needs over non-essential expenses. During this challenging economic strain and high inflation, I have stressed the significance of allocating funds toward vital resources and equipment for our deputies. This commitment to prioritizing their necessities reflects the core of my leadership approach, and I believe it resonates with the values of our community.

As many of you may know, I reside in Lockney with my wife, Heather, and our daughter, Bra’lei, a sixth grader at Lockney Junior High. Our family is deeply rooted in this community and is committed to its well-being. I am an active member of San Jose de Calasanz Catholic Church in Lockney, serving as the parish council president. I am also involved with the Floyd County Pioneers Association, currently holding the position of vice president on the board and member of the Caprock Peace Officer Association.

Once again, I humbly request your SUPPORT and VOTE in the upcoming general election on November 5th. Your support is crucial as we continue our journey to make Floyd County a safer and better place for all. I look forward to your continued trust and confidence in me.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Paul Raissez Re-Elect
