FLOYD COUNTY, TX—On Tuesday morning, a driver attempted to avoid a collision with a deer, which led to a one-vehicle accident south of Floydada on U.S. 62.

The driver of the traffic control truck was en route to Floydada to assist the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the day, but while missing the deer, they actually veered off the road, overcorrected, and skidded into the bar ditch.

Though the truck hit a utility pole and rolled over, no injuries were reported in the 6:50 a.m. incident.
