TULIA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds kick off their 112th football season here on Friday night.
The Whirlwinds open the 2024 campaign against a Hornet team that has struggled with one winning season in the past five years. However, they have dominated Floydada with three consecutive victories, including a 32-0 defeat in 2021. The last time Floydada defeated Tulia was in 2018 by a final score of 20-6.
Friday night’s game, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Younger Field in Tulia, will be broadcast live on 106.1 Flip-FM (and online at www.FloydCountyRecord.com).
