LOCKNEY, TX – Last week, Floyd County officials apprehended and arrested 43-year-old Adam Lee Leal of Lockney in connection with an arson investigation.
In the early morning of February 4, 2024, law enforcement officers found a Chevrolet pickup in the 200 block of Southwest 4th Street fully engulfed in flames.
Following months of investigation, Deputy Frank Robles arrested Leal on August 8, 2024, after a short struggle between the two.
Leal is charged with one count of Arson, a second-degree felony, and Resisting Arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor, and is being held at the Childress County Detention Center.
Bond was set for $100,000 for the Arson charge and another $10,000 for Resisting Arrest.
